Hoje fui chamado pelo nobre motociclista Dr. José de Alencar, que me avisava de um acidente com um americano. Ele estava no hospital e a moto na estrada em alguma casa que sequer sabíamos onde era exatamente.

Saímos em busca da casa e encontramos a moto coberta com uma lona na caçamba de uma Montana. Logo o proprietário da casa veio falar conosco. Estávamos Eu, Antônio Bonifácio e Evaldo Pinto.

Dona Marcia nos contou o que aconteceu. Chamava atenção um pedido de socorro, era exatamente o Jeffrey, que sem falar português, escreveu no celular usando o tradutor: "preciso de ajuda, estou morrendo". Ele vomitava muito e apontava para a região torácica, sentia dores terríveis. Em pânico a senhora decidiu ajudar o estranho. A moto foi colocado na caçamba de sua Montana com ajuda de vizinhos e rumaram para a cidade mais próxima, Castanhal onde moro.

Chegando no hospital foi medicado, mas indicado que fosse para Belém para cuidados especializados. A suspeita era de grave infecção intestinal.

Enquanto rumavam para Belém, um caminhão atravessou a rodovia inesperadamente e o motorista bateu forte na lateral do caminhão. Sem tempo de reação. A camionete ficou com a frente destruída, perda total segundo especialistas, e a moto quase entrou cabine a dentro. Chamaram o resgate e o Jeffrey foi levado ao hospital com fortes dores. Costelas quebradas e o externo também.

Ele foi atendido e passa bem. O estado de saúde no momento não aparenta riscos maiores, está medicado e já em recuperação.

A senhora que socorreu o Americano, acabara de pagar o IPVA do veículo com muito sacrifício, disse ela, pois aquele carro era seu ganha pão. E mês passado, quitou a última parcela do longo financiamento.

Resultado: neste momento a família não consegue trabalhar, pois o carro era seu instrumento usado para escoar a pequena produção até a cidade.

Ela foi ajudar, e hoje, quem precisa de ajuda é ela e a família. Mesmo assim, estão todos felizes por terem salvo a vida do Jeffrey. Família humilde e de bom coração.

Vimos toda a roupa do Jeffrey no varal, limpa e lavada pela dona Marcia que promete ir visitá-lo e entregar a roupa amanhã.

No tumulto do acidente, uma das malas e alguns pertences foram roubados.

Naturalmente ficamos sensibilizados, e nosso amigo Evaldo que também é advogado, se comprometeu em ajudar a família com o trâmite para tentar pelo menos minimizar o prejuízo responsabilizando o dono do caminhão que cruzou a rodovia inesperadamente causando o acidente.

Certamente, essa família merece nosso respeito e admiração e também nossa contribuição.

The van was destroyed, total loss, according to experts, and the motorcycle almost entered the cabin of the Montana car. They called the ambulance and Jeffrey was rushed to the hospital with severe pain. Broken ribs and outer ribs too. He was medicated and now is doing well. The state of health at the moment does not appear greater risks, he is already in recovery. The lady who helped the American had just paid the taxes of the vehicle with much sacrifice, she said, because that car was the mean of survival of her and her family. And last month, she paid the last installment of the long-term funding. The result: the family cannot work at this time because the car, their instrument used to run the small production to the city to be sold, is now destroyed. And they have no money to buy a new one. She tried to save a strange person, and today, who needs help, is she and her family. Even so, they're all happy to have saved Jeffrey's life. A humble and kind-hearted family. In the tumult of the accident, one of the suitcases and some belongings were stolen.
