Lucca adquiriu infecção bacteriana hospitalar com graves consequências cerebrais e sofre com as sequelas, atrasos multiplos neuropsicomotor: fala, linguagem, visão, sustentação do tronco para sentar, engatinhar e ficar em pé. Lucca was born well but at 12 days of life acquired hospital bacterial infection in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Now he has severe injures and needs to get treatment outside Brazil before 2 years of age, that is, before 12/21/2017, so that his vision as well as motor and cognitive functions are recovered. 

Lucca had severe brain complications due to hospital-acquired bacterial infection and suffers from injuries and multiple neuropsychomotor delays which affect his speech and language skills, vision and trunk control to sit up, crawl and stand up. 

Lucca is 18 months old now. His chances of recovery are very good but decline day by day. There is only hope of significant improvement in his condition if he receives treatment outside Brazil up to the age of 2 due to neuroplasticity.
