Fistball together with Rio Grande do Sul floods

Hello Fistball family,

We are here today to share news that goes beyond sports. Our state, Rio Grande do Sul, home to Sogipa Punhobol and Novo Hamburgo Ginástica, is facing its worst natural disaster in recent history.

• Over the past four days, we've experienced five times the normal monthly rainfall.
• Rivers have surged to historic levels, resulting in hundreds of deaths and missing persons, thousands of displaced individuals, and severe flooding.
• The cities water and electrical systems are on the verge of collapse, leaving many residents without essential services.
• The entire road infrastructure has been compromised, and the capital airport is flooded, isolating the state from the rest of the country.
• Authorities are struggling to cope, leading citizens to mobilize with jet-skis, boats, helicopters, donations, and volunteer efforts to rescue and support the affected population.
• It's estimated that it will take around 20 days for the water levels to recede, and the weather forecast for the coming week predicts further challenges.

There are significant challenges ahead, and at this moment, we cannot specify the exact allocation of the funds raised, although they will be directed to those in need. Throughout the process, we will provide full accountability.
